Select intervals between intersections

Selection determines exactly what Delete and editing commands affect.

  1. Click normally to select a whole shape. Hold Ctrl and click to select the nearest interval between adjacent intersections; Ctrl-click again removes that interval from the selection.
  2. Continue Ctrl-clicking to collect intervals from different shapes. With no intersections the whole edge is selected; one tangency point does not split a circle.
  3. Drag left-to-right to select fully enclosed objects, or right-to-left to select objects crossing the box. Press Delete to remove the highlighted selection.
  4. Use Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y for undo and redo on the current page. Esc first cancels unconfirmed input; a second Esc exits the tool.
