DI/DO diagnostics and tool-head downgrade

Diagnose the actual fault and distinguish a Z servo failure from an isolatable W/tool fault.

  1. Inspect the 24DI/24DO status in System status and the code, source, time, axis and explanation in Diagnostics/Alarms. Keep the machine stopped while resolving the cause.
  2. Use clear/reset only as permitted by the actual fault state. Manual DO switching requires the appropriate manufacturer access, a connected controller and stopped machining.
  3. A real Z-axis servo fault requires interruption of the whole machine and cannot be bypassed through head downgrade.
  4. For an eligible W/vibrating-tool fault, follow the installed downgrade confirmation: Z must be raised and reliably secured, and the tool stopped. The isolated head does not cut or receive assignments; its head rail still homes and avoids collisions.
